This series was taken shortly after arriving in Canada, during a night walk through one of Vancouver’s large urban parks. It was both a first impression and a chance to experiment with photographing a new environment under low light.
I focused on capturing the quiet atmosphere of the park at night, with its deep shadows, scattered lights, and sense of stillness. The images highlight the contrast between natural forms and manmade lighting, showing how the city reveals a different character after dark.
The work also reflects my ongoing practice in adapting to new places through photography, using the camera as both a tool for exploration and a way of documenting transitions in my own journey.
