Challenge:
Airswift, a commercial airline in the Philippines, needed a fresh, modern logo and branding that would help distinguish it in a competitive market. The challenge was to create a distinctive identity that conveyed the airline’s focus on reliability, modernity, and premium service, while also evoking a sense of comfort and efficiency for travellers. The logo needed to be versatile for a variety of applications, including on aircraft, digital platforms, and promotional materials.
Solution:
I designed a minimalist logo featuring sky blue and purple tones to convey both tranquillity and professionalism. The choice of a thin serif font gave the logo a sophisticated, modern feel. To add a dynamic element, I incorporated a subtle bird graphic in flight as part of the letter "I" in "swift," symbolizing agility and speed while aligning with the airline’s core values of swift, efficient service. The overall design was kept clean and simple to ensure readability and scalability across different media and touchpoints.
Result:
The new logo successfully established Airswift as a sleek, modern airline brand. The color palette of sky blue and purple resonated with the sense of calm and reliability the airline wanted to convey, while the bird graphic symbolized the airline’s swift and efficient service. The minimalistic yet impactful design has allowed Airswift to establish a strong visual identity, contributing to its growing recognition in the commercial aviation industry.
