Challenge:
The IFC needed a way to communicate the impact of its investments in Sustainable Energy Financing (SEF), specifically in addressing liquidity constraints and risk perceptions in emerging markets. The goal was to illustrate how the IFC supports local banks with credit lines and risk-sharing facilities, and how these efforts help scale SEF businesses in regions like China. The challenge was to present this complex financial process in a visually engaging and easily digestible format.
Solution:
I used 3D modelling software to create a unique and engaging infographic that illustrated the flow of investments from the IFC to local banks and how these investments directly support the scaling of SEF businesses. I depicted key concepts like credit lines, unfunded risk-sharing facilities, and the three local banks involved in the China Utility Energy Efficiency Project. Using 3D programs allowed me to create dynamic visuals that represented financial concepts and relationships in a way that was both informative and visually compelling. The infographic highlighted the practical impact of the IFC’s investments in a clear and visually intuitive manner.
Result:
The 3D infographic successfully conveyed the complexity of IFC’s SEF investments while making the information easy to understand. The design was well-received by stakeholders, helping to communicate the value of the IFC’s investments in emerging markets and their role in supporting the growth of sustainable energy financing. The visually engaging nature of the infographic helped simplify intricate financial relationships and demonstrated the tangible impact of the IFC’s support in scaling SEF projects.
